The Outlaw's Hideaways

I road my first motorcycle around 1963. This was back in the days when it was still safe for a 12 year old to stick his thumb out and catch a ride. The bike was what we called in those days "a Nifty Thrifty Honda 50". Some guy gave me a ride from the street I lived on to downtown Wilmington, NC about a 4 mile ride. I was hooked. It was 7 years later after school and a tour in the Navy that I got my first bike. I was now a firefighter on the Wilmington Fire Department and had just got my first motorcycle, a little Honda CB-350 from the flak I got from the brass on the job you would have though I had joined the Mafia.

Now almost 40 years later I am still riding and enjoying it more than ever, so I thought I would share some pictures of the types of bikes I've had and places I have been, mostly North and South Carolina and a few outside the area.

You are asking why call this site Outlaw's Hideaway? Because that is what my bike is, my hideaway from the world. Just like being free as a bird.
